Namaste Buddhis. We are so excited to have Eryn and Kelsey as our guest bloggers this week. They are founders of Real Beauty for a Cause and creators of the super scrumptious lemon coconut scrub that is in the November BuddhiBox. This week, the impart their wisdom on how to keep our skin soft and hydrated over the fall and winter months.
Just like that, it was gone! Regardless of your begging and pleading, summer has made an exit. As you stare in the mirror asking “why,” you may begin to notice that your favorite season has wrecked a little havoc on your skin! Don’t fret, fall is the perfect time to repair the damage done during all that fun and sun and prepare your skin for the colder months ahead (regardless of all your begging and pleading, you can’t keep them away). Here are a couple quick tips to bring that radiance back to your skin:
The summer elements can leave your skin looking a little, blah. When you exfoliate, you remove the dead skin cells revealing a dewy, healthy appearance. (See, there is clean, gorgeous skin hiding under there!) Exfoliating also improves the absorption of moisturizers, as well as collagen production…sign me up!
Keeping the skin hydrated is essential! The sun can sap a lot of moisture, causing cell turn over to slow down. When your skin is hydrated, it has the ability to function at peak performance, allowing the younger skin cells to rise to the surface and reveal a more youthful glow.
Yes, I know, the sun is not as bright during fall and winter but it is still there and you must protect it! The winter rays are just as destructive as they are in the summer. Make sure to use a sunscreen to protect your skin’s radiance and prevent premature aging and skin cancer!
